The researchers of the OINPE conducted the stage of the championship Global HackAtom at the University of Rwanda

From June 19 to June 20, the staff of the OINPEof the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, with the support of the Rosatom State Corporation, held the national stage of the Global HackAtom International Student Championship at the University of Rwanda (University of Rwanda, Rwanda, Kigali)

The organizers were employees of the Department of Nuclear Physics and Technology (JAPIT) and the leadership of the IATE NNAIU MEPhI.:

• Tatiana Andreevna Osipova, Deputy Director (for Strategic Development and International Cooperation)

• Dmitry Sergeevich Samokhin, Associate Professor of the Department of Nuclear Physics and Technology

• Udalova Alla Alexandrovna, Professor of the Department of Nuclear Physics and Technology

The championship, held among undergraduate students from three University of Rwanda (UR) institutes, was attended by 8 teams with a total of 40 people. The award ceremony was attended by a representative of the Russian Embassy in Rwanda, teachers (UR) and the head of the joint Bachelor's degree program (UR and NRU MEPhI), Christian Kwisanga.

The Atomic Frontiers team, which took the first place, was honored to represent Rwanda at the Global HackAtom International Finals, which will be held in Russia from September 24 to 29, 2025, as part of World Atomic Week, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry.
