III International Youth Nuclear Forum Obninsk NEW

On June 26, Obninsk became the venue for the III International Youth Nuclear Forum Obninsk NEW. This significant event was supported by the Government of the Kaluga Region, the State Corporation "Rosatom" and the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI". The central theme of the forum was "Dream". The forum participants focused on discussing the opportunities offered by nuclear and related technologies to create a more equitable and sustainable world. Special attention was paid to how joint efforts and international cooperation can contribute to more effective achievement of global sustainable development goals. One of the key events of the forum was the meeting of the Youth Mega-Council. Alexey Evgenievich Likhachev, General Director of Rosatom State Corporation, took part in the meeting. During the meeting, a proposal was put forward to establish June 26 as the International Day of the Peaceful Atom. It was proposed to include this issue in the agenda of the next meeting of the UN General Assembly.
