Training of international specialists: LETI launches a joint educational program with a leading university in Uzbekistan

Graduates of the master's program "Quantum Photonics and Quantum Technologies", which starts in September 2025, will receive diplomas from leading technical universities in Russia and Uzbekistan – St. Petersburg State Technical University "LETI" and TSTU. Islam Karimov.

On May 14, 2025, a network agreement was signed between St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University LETI and Tashkent State Technical University. Islam Karimov on the implementation of the joint English-language master's program "Quantum Photonics and Quantum Technology". The program was created and is being implemented with the support of Rosatom State Corporation, as well as the Russian Quantum Center and the Obninsk Tech International Center for Education in the Field of Nuclear and Related Technologies.

The first year of study will be held at the TSTU named after Islam Karimov, the second – at St. Petersburg State Technical University "LETI". During this time, students will master the basics of classical optics, electronics and materials science, study quantum optics, materials and communications, learn how to develop elements of integrated and fiber optics, create photonic integrated circuits and work with laser systems and 3D scanners. Lectures on the disciplines of "Quantum Materials" and "Quantum Communications" will be given by experts from the Russian Quantum Center, Russia's leading scientific center in the field of quantum technologies. Graduates will receive diplomas from both universities.
