III International Youth Nuclear Forum Obninsk NEW

On 26 June 2025, Obninsk will host the III International Youth Nuclear Forum Obninsk NEW, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry.

Obninsk NEW 2025 is two weeks of educational events for young people from different countries who have chosen to build a career in the nuclear industry. This year all events will take place from 23 June to 6 July, among them:

Obninsk Tech Summer Nuclear University (Obninsk Tech Summer University). The project is implemented with the financial support of Rosatom State Corporation and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Training within the university will take place in two tracks:

– Summer schools for students from 23 June to 28 June - in Obninsk. Link for registration.

– Professional development programmes for teachers (train-the-trainers) in nuclear and related areas from 23 June to 6 July in Obninsk and St. Petersburg.

Track partners: NRNU MEPhI, Rosatom Technical Academy in Obninsk, St. Petersburg State Technical University ‘LETI’ and Peter the Great St. Petersburg State Pedagogical University.

Students of the Obninsk Tech Summer Nuclear University will meet with industry leaders and leading scientists, attend lectures and labs, group project work, as well as technical tours to industry enterprises and excursions, including a visit to the Museum of the World's First NPP.
