Description
The course, organized jointly by Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) and Rosatom Technical Academy, focuses on the main design and operational issues of steam turbines, feedwater heaters, turbine island auxiliary equipment, and steam turbine piping and valves for Russian VVER NPP technology. The purpose of the course is to train professors and specialists from newcomer countries that consider adding nuclear power to the national energy systems.
The program includes lectures and practical tasks developed by leading Russian experts from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU), and a technical tour to the Leningradskaya NPP and/or steam turbine production facilities.

“Train-The-Trainers” is a series short-term training courses for academic staff of foreign universities on the topics covering key nuclear technologies and the methodology of creating educational programs.
